A Day in the Life
“A Day in the Life” is a series of one day programs offered to high school Seniors interested in health careers.
A Day in the Life of a Nurse – is a day full of information, hands on activities and education in which the different levels of nursing (LPN, RN, BSN, APN, CRNA, ect.) will be represented to explain their typical day, training options, interesting cases, and advantages/disadvantages. A tour of the hospital is included in this event.
A Day in the Life – Variety – is a day full of information, hands on activities and education in which an assortment of health professionals (pharmacist, physical therapist, doctor, rad tech, nurse, lab tech, etc.) come to discuss a typical day in their life, required education and training, and other information relating to their career. A tour of specific areas of the hospital is included in this event. This is a great option for the high school senior who has not quite settled on a specific career path.
