The Phlebotomy course is a 13-week course offered in the Fall & Spring semesters to prepare students to enter as a professional in the healthcare field. The curriculum for this course will contain a combination of lectures, labs, and clinical internships.
Participants successfully completing this Continuing Education Course in Phlebotomy will be awarded a certificate of completion. Completion of this course also establishes eligibility to apply to take the national registry examination in Phlebotomy given by the ASCP and become registered as a phlebotomist (PBT(ASCP)). Successful completion of this course does not itself insure registration. See www.ascp.org for more information.
To be eligible for the continuing education course in phlebotomy applicants must submit a copy of high school diploma (or equivalent) upon applying for course.
