About UAMS North Central

The UAMS North Central mission is to improve the health of Arkansans by training health professionals and delivering patient-centered care in an eleven county area of north central Arkansas. Our mission focuses on wellness and prevention strategies for area residents and the education of health care professionals. UAMS North Central’s vision is to be the premier Medical Home for improving the health of patients and communities across Arkansas. Our values are Integrity, Respect, Diversity, Teamwork, Creativity, and Excellence.

UAMS North Central provides multiple education and community outreach programs for Batesville and our surrounding communities. These programs include but are not limited to, nursing education, health education seminars, and pre-health counseling/recruitment. UAMS North Central also provides opportunities for consumers and professionals to access health education materials and videos, both locally and through the Internet when available.

UAMS North Central houses the 24 exam room UAMS North Central Family Medicine Center which provides patient care Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The UAMS North Central Family Medicine Residency Program will begin in July 2019 under the leadership of Dr. Jordan Weaver.
