Research & Scholarly Activity

West_researchPagePicAt UAMS West, resident scholarship is encouraged and promoted through a wide range of opportunities.

Resident participation in Scholarly Activity is a goal of Family Medicine educators. We , at UAMS West, are proactive at identifying methods that lead to increased scholarship activity. We offer dedicated research time which has lead to the development of a productive Reasearch Oriented  Program. Residents can approach any faculty member with ideas for a clinical or educational project. In collabration with FPIN our residents have involved themselves in research opportunities and scholarly activities through publication opportunities, on site workshops and on line self assessment modules to make evidence based medicine and clinical scholarship more accessible to Family Physicians in clinical practice.
